The Orchestrator

An orchestrator is the technical professional accountable for developing and operating that system.

An orchestrator may write source code, and may equally spend the day selecting models, creating skills, curating memory, building evaluation sets, narrowing permissions, reviewing outputs, changing handoffs, and deciding when one system should defer to another. What defines the role is not which person typed the final line. It is who is responsible for the system that makes, changes, evaluates, and operates the work.

An orchestrator is the professional responsible for the objective, context, connections, authority, evidence, evaluation, intervention, and consequences of a system of delegated intelligence.
