The Orchestrator

Assistance is the use of a tool to perform an existing task faster or more conveniently.

A developer asks an AI system to write a function, an analyst asks it to summarize a spreadsheet, a support agent asks it to draft a reply. In each case the person remains the source of the plan and the surrounding process stays substantially intact. Assistance is genuinely valuable — it removes typing, search time, and routine effort — and it does not by itself create a new profession, because it improves one step inside an existing job.
